Katie Rogers is a fictional character in the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside first played by Debbie Reynolds.[1] Diane Burke played the role from 1989 until 2003.
After losing her father, Frank Rogers she became vulnerable and easy prey for cult leader Simon Howe. Initially she was the only resident on the Close caught up in the cult until later joined by Terry Sullivan.
Katie was a longtime friend of Jacqui Dixon, however the two fell out in 2001 when Jacqui's father Ron shot dead Katie's boyfriend Clint Moffat during a burglary.
